Anneliese May Lilienthal was awarded The Stenstrom Award of Excellence for outstanding medical illustration for The Erythrocyte: A Closer Look, in the 15th Annual Student Scientific and Medical Illustration Exhibition at the Lamar Dodd School of Art, University of Georgia. Anneliese May Lilienthal is named a 2008 Vesalian Scholar by the Vesalius Trust for her research project entitled, Understanding LEEP (Loop Electrode Excision Procedure): Familiarizing indigenous women in Peru with a medical procedure they will undergo for prevention of cervical cancer.
